An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
